Class List for Faculty & Staff
CRN Listing
The new CRN Listing module combines the following modules from the Banner 8 Faculty Self-Service platform:
• CRN selection
• Photo roster
• Summary Faculty Class List
• Summary Faculty Wait List
The CRN Listing page serves as a landing page for accessing individual courses.
Term Selection
A new feature of the CRN Listing module, is that instructors are now able to sort by “All Terms.”
To navigate to individual courses, select either the “All Terms” option or the individual term from the term selector under the CRN Listing header.
Course Details
Selecting the CRN or Course Title allows users to view detailed information on courses, including description, prerequisites, and fees.
To display the Course Details pop-up box, click on the hyperlinked "Course Title" or "CRN."
This pop-up window displays after your selection.
Class List
To navigate to individual course enrollment and waitlist details from the CRN Listing page, after selecting the term, click on the course “Subject.” Note: “Subject” doesn’t appear with an underline – typical of a hyperlink – however, clicking here will bring up the new Class Listing Module.
The new Class List module provides a convenient way to access detailed information about assigned courses and both enrolled and waitlisted students.
Accessible information includes:
1. Enrollment counts – including maximum enrollment, waitlist, and cross-listed course enrollment.
2. Course details – including prerequisite information, course fees, restrictions, and attributes.
3. Photo roster of both enrolled and waitlisted students. The photo roster was previously contained in a separate module. In addition, it previously didn’t include waitlisted students.
4. Detailed student information – including major details, registration status, class standing, and a link to the new student profile module.
5. Ability to email students and view detailed information about each student.

Banner 8 Modules
All Banner 8 modules remain available from the Banner 8 Faculty Services Web4U landing page. The Registrar's Office will inform students, staff, and faculty prior to removal.
Class List Helpful Information
The following information is available in the Course Information section of Class List.
Title: Provides a clickable link for the course. This link contains detailed information such as:
• Course Description - Detailed course information provided by the department including section information.
• Prerequisites - All prerequisites are listed.
• Detailed Prerequisites - Additional prerequisite information such as necessary test scores.
• Fees - Additional fees associated with the course. Fees may be noted as a flat fee or an amount per credit.
• Restrictions - Restrictions may include campus, student class level or status, and more. See detailed information on the Student Registration page.
• Attributes - Provides information such as method of course delivery. For a detailed listing of course attributes, see the Course Information page.
• Corequisites - Lists courses that must be taken concurrently with this class.
• Catalog - Listing of the course as displayed on the WWU Catalog.
Enrollment Counts
Enrollment/Waitlist - Capacity and waitlist information.
Cross-listed Courses - Cross-listed courses typically occur when more than one course is scheduled together during the same term, taught by the same instructor, and each CRN has the same meeting times/dates, room (if needed), etc. Example: REL 428 - Revival and Reform in the Islamic World crosslisted with HIST 490 - Advanced Topics in History. Other common examples are when two equivalent courses are scheduled together (such as ENRG 374 - Energy Processing and UEPP 374 - Energy Processing) or first-year interest group (FIG).
Student Name: Provides a clickable link to access the Student Profile module.
ID: student ID number

Selecting “Detailed View” brings up a text box for every student that contains “Study Path” details for every declared program of study.

Currently Banner 9 modules are not configured to allow users to selectively email students (i.e., selecting not all, but, only some of the students in a class).
To email all students in a course:
Select the “all” checkbox located in header row of Class List > Click on the email icon on the top right of Class List > This will open a window using your client’s default email client.
To change email settings:
Google Chrome
1. Open your Chrome web browser.
2. Click the Chrome menu icon in the top right-hand corner of the window.
3. Click Settings.
4. Click Show Advanced Settings at the bottom of the page.
5. Under "Privacy," click Content Settings.
6. Scroll down to the "Handlers" section, and click the Manage Handlers button.
7. Select your desired, default email client (e.g. Gmail).
Firefox
1. Open your Firefox web browser.
2. Click the Firefox menu the top left-hand corner of the window.
3. Click Options (PC) or Preferences (Macintosh).
4. Click the Applications subtab.
5. Use the search bar for "mailto."
6. Click the drop-down menu under the "Action" column.
7. Select your desired, default email client (e.g. Use Gmail).
8. Click OK. (Note: On a Macintosh computer, your settings will automatically be saved, so you will not need to click OK.)
Safari
1. Open your Safari web browser.
2. Install the "Google Mailto Extension" for Safari by clicking the following link: Google Mailto Extension
3. Click the Downloads icon (arrow pointing down) at the top right-hand side of the window.
4. Double-click the extension that you just downloaded.
5. Click Install once prompted.
6. In the "Options" section, select your desired, default email client (e.g. Use Gmail). (Note: Once you click on an email client, it is automatically saved.)
7. When finished, restart your browser by quitting and reopening it.
Click on the Export button at the top of the page.
Clicking on a student’s name in the Class List block links to the Student Profile module.
View all students on the waitlist for a course by clicking on the waitlist tab on the Class List section.

Prerequisites and restrictions can be found in the Class Details pop-up window which is accessed by clicking on the title of the course in Course Information.

All enrolled and waitlisted students who have taken a photo with the WWU card office will have one displayed. Enrolled or waitlisted students with no photo available are displayed without a photo.
The enrollment data is refreshed automatically from Banner production.
Yes, enrollment and waitlist data will reflect a student’s enrollment status. For detailed enrollment status information navigate to the Student Registration page.
