Covid-19-Information
COVID-19 - Tested Positive, Feeling Ill, Possible Exposure
Tested Positive
If you tested positive for COVID on a home test or through an off-campus testing facility not associated with Western, notify Western. Please do not attend your ceremony.
Experiencing Symptoms
Even if you are not sure if it is COVID-related, do not come to campus, and get tested for COVID as soon as you can. This applies regardless of your vaccination status.
Possible Exposure
What Do I Do If I’ve Been Around a Person with COVID-19?
• If you have COVID-like symptoms, isolate at home until you can get a test.
If you do not have COVID-like symptoms, follow these guidelines:
I Am Boosted
• Wear a mask around others for 10 days.
• If you develop symptoms, get a test and stay home.
I Am Not Boosted
• Stay home for 5 days.
• After 5 days, you can leave your house.
• Continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days (day 6 through day 10).
• If you develop symptoms, get a test and stay home.
Use the CDC's Quarantine and Isolation Calculator to help determine how long you need to isolate, quarantine, or take other steps to prevent spreading COVID-19.
