No. All final grades will appear on official and unofficial transcripts.

Some courses are approved to be repeated for credit. Such approval is included with the course description in the Repeating a Course in the University Catalog.

A student’s cumulative grade point average (GPA) will only reflect the most recent course taken, unless taken 2+ times prior to fall 2017.

Certain academic departments calculate all grades earned in courses taken when calculating the grade point average required for acceptance into a major. Contact the academic department to determine the criteria for acceptance into the major.

Students wishing to repeat a class in which they already received a P, S, or C- or better grade may not register for the class until Phase III of registration. Students, in this circumstance, who register for a repeated course prior to Phase III may be required to drop the course by the academic department or the Registrar’s Office. Please note: A course cannot be repeated to change the student’s grade point average after a baccalaureate degree has been awarded.

The repeat policy applies to transfer courses. The same registration rules regarding repeated courses apply to transfer courses.

Please note: Transfer course grades are not included in your WWU cumulative GPA.

The registration system will block you from registering for a class you are currently registered in. Contact the academic department for the course you're seeking to retake for necessary overrides involving courses that may not be passed.
