Degree Information
Review the core requirements common for all candidates seeking undergraduate degrees at Western.
To graduate, students must submit a Degree Application to the Registrar’s Office by the established deadlines. The degree is not granted without formal application.
The General University Requirements apply to all students at Western, with the exception of students enrolled in Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies, see the Fairhaven College section of the University Catalog for requirements.
Certificates can be earned at Western in a variety of departments. There are currently six certificate programs that are recognized on student transcripts.
Graduating seniors who achieve Cum Laude or Magna Cum Laude academic honors will be formally recognized on university transcripts, on their diploma, and during the commencement ceremony by wearing gold honor cords.
