Once completed, transcript orders can take two business days for processing. However, here are some things you can do to influence how quickly your transcript will reach its destination:

ORDER ONLINE - Create or log into your Parchment account to order your official transcript online. It is possible to mail us your transcript order with a check, but your order will take much longer to reach us.

SEND A PDF - You can reduce delivery time by ordering an official PDF transcript instead of a paper one. Your official PDF transcript comes with security encryption and the ability to check delivery status online.

If you ordered an official transcript online, log into your Parchment account and click on Orders. PDF orders offer more detailed tracking information than standard hard-copy transcripts.

If you ordered in person or by mail, you can contact the Registrar's Office for a status update.

This is NOT recommended. Similar to a paper transcript that comes in a sealed envelope, a PDF transcript is only official to the individual or institution that opens it. Official PDF transcripts have security features that may prevent them from being uploaded.

The safest route is to order your PDF transcript to be sent directly to the final intended recipient.

Many institutions are registered with Parchment as transcript recipients. If your recipient is not registered with Parchment, they may not appear as a destination when you search for them.

However, if your recipient has provided you with an email or mailing address where they can receive transcripts, select "I'm sending to myself or another individual," then the "other individual" option on the delivery destination screen. This will allow you to enter your recipient’s contact information directly into the order form.

You can choose to order your transcript in advance by selecting "Hold for Grades" or "Hold for Degree" instead of "Send Now". These options are available for current students on the Item Details page, which appears after you select your transcript destination.

Due to the narrative format of Fairhaven evaluations, a cumulative GPA will not appear on the official transcript of a declared Fairhaven student.

Fairhaven students can order supplemental narrative evaluations through the Fairhaven website.

Possibly, if it hasn't been processed yet. Please contact us at RORecords@wwu.edu for assistance.

If you ordered a paper transcript, don't panic! Paper transcript orders receive automatic "holds" so that Registrar's Office staff can take important steps to track and process them correctly.

Some PDF transcript orders also receive "holds" if they need to be manually matched to your student record. We resolve these as soon as possible and will contact you with any questions.

If you have other questions about transcript holds, please feel free to contact us at RORecords@wwu.edu.

Please encourage your student to order their own transcript. For more information, contact RORecords@wwu.edu.

Log into your former student Web4U account and select Student, then Student Records, then Unofficial Transcript (Academic History).

Need login help? Contact the ATUS Help Desk at (360) 650-3333 for assistance.

Students who started attending WWU in Fall 1984 or after can access their unofficial transcripts through Web4U. If you attended WWU before Fall 1984 and require an unofficial transcript, please contact us at RORecords@wwu.edu.

For security reasons, the Registrar's Office does not email unofficial transcripts.

Though there isn’t a download button/link on the unofficial transcript page in Web4U, most internet browsers will allow you to save any webpage as a PDF.

  • Chrome or Microsoft Edge: Go to Print, then change the printer destination to "Save as PDF".
  • Other browsers on PC: Go to Print, then change the printer destination to "Microsoft Print to PDF".
  • Safari on Mac: Go to File, then "Export as PDF".

Yes! All students with credits through WWU can order official transcripts. If you do not know your W#, please note that we may need to contact you for more information to ensure we can locate your student record.

For clock hours, please contact Woodring College of Education at (360) 650-3319.

If you are pursuing admission into Western, please contact the Office of Admissions at 360-650-3440 or admissions@wwu.edu.

Already a Western student? Please contact Degree Evaluation at 360-650-3985 or DegreeEval@wwu.edu.

The Registrar’s Office is not able to accept transcript orders over the phone.
